   The Independent Sociology and Information Service "Opinia" (ISIS "Opinia") was founded by the late Professor, Doctor of Sociology Tudor DANII in 1992, based on the Moldovan branch of the All-Union Public Opinion Research Centre (WCIOM), which operated between 1989 and 1992. OPINIA is the first sociological institution in the Republic of Moldova, politically independent, specialized in public opinion research, social and marketing research.

   On the market, OPINIA proved to be one of the most dynamic research centres. During its 19 years of activity, it has demonstrated professionalism, efficiency and objectivity in the first place, which secured its leading position on the market of sociological research in the Republic of Moldova. The experience gained over the years enables us to conduct comprehensive surveys of the real social life in Moldova.

   ISIS "Opinia" initiated in 1991 and carries out annually the monitor type sociological survey "Social Barometer". The survey addresses a wide range of issues that are constantly updated with new issues, depending on social changes and processes that take place in the society. The survey reflects the population’s mood, the socio-political, economic and cultural situation, the quality of life, the work of state institutions and the level of public trust in public institutions, political parties and politicians, etc.

   OPINIA is the first institution that initiated Internet-based studies in Moldova. In 2002-2007 was conducted the monitoring survey "Results of the year".

   ISIS "Opinia" avails of human and material resources that enables it to conduct local, regional and national qualitative and quantitative surveys on various aspects of social life.

   OPINIA’s full-time and part-time employees make up a dynamic team of professionals with extensive theoretical training and a valuable hands-on experience in interdisciplinary research, and ensure the flexibility and readiness required to meet the most complex requirements.

   The service has a permanent national network for public opinion polls that covers the whole territory of the country and enables a fast and accurate collection of sociological information. The network consists of more than 200 interviewers with a high level of professionalism in applying research tools relevant to each separate survey and in interviewing all groups of population.

   Since 2000 the Independent Sociology and Information Service "OPINIA" is a member of the consortium "Scientific cooperation of research institutions in the CIS region" and since 2005 it is a member of the European Centre for Social Studies.

   Our mission is to provide integrated high quality services and to transform our cooperation in real long-term partnerships in the field of social and marketing research.
